Writing at a Proctor Site
Who is eligible to write at a proctor site?
Only students who reside 100 km away or more from MSVU may write at an approved proctor site. All other students must write their examinations at Mount Saint Vincent University as scheduled.

Approved proctoring sites are located at accredited universities and colleges across Canada (see link above). Approved sites are also available outside of Canada. Students studying outside of Canada, please email msvu.ca for assistance. Note: Depending on your location please plan for travel time to an approved proctor site. All examinations must be written at an approved site.
What documentation must be submitted to obtain a proctor?
Once you have contacted one of our approved proctor sites, complete this online submittable form. The online proctor information form must be submitted within TWO WEEKS from the first day of your course.
Do I need to submit my Proctor information each term?
Please send an email to msvu.ca to confirm your information as approved proctor sites do change.
What happens next after I submit the online proctor information form?
All proctor forms are screened by the University to ensure compliance with our examination policies.
Once your proctor request is approved, your exam will be couriered or made available via Moodle. Note: Students residing outside of Canada will have their exam emailed or made available via Moodle on the day of writing or the following day. You are responsible to confirm your proctor arrangement prior to your exam date to ensure everything is in order.
All exams must be written on the date stated in your syllabus. Proctors will return all exams not written on the stated date. If you are unable to write on the scheduled date, contact your professor immediately and email msvu.ca and submit appropriate documentation.
Who pays your proctor?
Effective Fall 2011, Mount Saint Vincent University will remit a $50.00 honorarium per course, not exam, to proctors at the end of the term. If the proctor site rate is higher than $50.00 per course or examination you are responsible to pay the difference.
