 Learning today; leading tomorrow.

Hire a Mount student.

We make hiring co-op students easy by providing a personalized approach at every step in the hiring process.

Do you have projects that require additional support to complete? Do you have a new position to test? Are you interested in mentoring a student in their field of study? Hire a Mount student for the summer 2018 term. We have co-op and internship students in the areas of:

  • Business Administration
  • Public Relations
  • Tourism & Hospitality Management
  • Bachelor of Arts (internship)
  • Bachelor of Science (internship)
  • Bachelor of Science Communication (internship)

Co-op and internship students are available from May to August; tourism & hospitality management students are available from May to August or May to mid-October.

About our students:

The majority of public relations and business administration students seeking a summer 2018 work term are second year students seeking their first work term. Tourism students only complete co-op work terms during the summer, meaning they could be first, second or third year students. Our Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Internship students complete one internship placement following their third year of study.

When considering hiring a student, keep the following in mind:

  • Students are seeking a learning experience from you, our educational partners, and are bright and eager to learn. This partnership provides you with the opportunity to coach and mentor students to grow their experience and develop their confidence.
  • Students may not have on-the-job experience, but they may have gained the experience you are seeking through volunteer opportunities, extra-curricular activities/hobbies and academic work.
  • The Mount co-op program is committed to supporting employers to build a diverse workforce reflective of Canadian society. As a result, there are co-op students in minority groups including women, Aboriginal students, students with disabilities and students from various visible minority groups.

Posting a position:

The deadline to submit your position to have it posted in the first round of job postings is Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Posting in the first round gives you the opportunity to have your job posting viewed by all available co-op students for summer 2018 and to interview on the first day of interviews.

If you miss the January 10 deadline, we begin ongoing postings starting on Tuesday, January 30. We will continue to post positions as they are received from employers until all students are secured.
