AAUEC 2011, 30th Annual Atlantic Undergraduate Eng

The Mount English Department inaugurated the Atlantic Undergraduate English Conference many years ago, and so we are especially pleased to have hosted AAUEC 2011, the 30th Annual Atlantic Undergraduate English Conference.

The 2012 AAUEC will be held at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Programme highlights:

Friday, March 11.  Opening reception and registration (Vinnie's Pub, first floor, Rosaria Student Centre). 6:00 p.m. registration and informal meet and greet.  7:00-10:00 p.m.  Reception with a welcome from MSVU President, Dr. Ramona Lumpkin and MSVU's famous  Bad Poetry Reading ("the best of the worst that has been thought and said.")

Saturday, March 12.  1:00 - 2:15 p.m. Keynote:  Dr. Steven Bruhm (University of Western Ontario) " Cell phones from Hell"   (Don McNeil Room, Rosaria 401)

6:30 p.m. - midnight:  30th AAUEC Banquet and Dance. Theme: Old  Hollywood Glitz and Glam. Multipurpose Room, Rosaria 302.

Sunday, March 13.  Noon - 1:00 p.m.  Keynote:  Dr. Kathleen McConnell (Kathy Mac), St. Thomas.  Don McNeil Room, Rosaria 401.
