Exciting Summer Opportunity!

China Summer Institute

The program runs from April 28-May 19 and includes tours of Beijing, Nanjing and Shanghai. In addition, students spend 10 days studying Chinese culture, language and art at Ginling College and receive an arts credit (.50) upon completion.

The trip is organized by the International and Exchange Office and Paula Barry will be accompanying students. This program provides an excellent opportunity for students to travel in a group and explore a very interesting part of the world. The cost is $3000 and includes airfare, tuition, visa, meals and sightseeing tours. Application deadline is January 22, 2009 and applications are available online.

Open Campus Day
October 30, 2009
During the recent Open Campus Day, approximately 120 high school students and their parents visited MSVU. We certainly hope to see lots of those faces return in the Fall!




  As part of the of the day's events, students were 
  invited to attend an information expo to explore
  possible majors. The department would like to
  thank Drs. Brown, MacRae and Khasnabish
  (L-R) for attending the event and providing useful
  information to our guests.







As well, the department would like to give a special thank you to Katie Belliveau (shown, right), one of our majors, for attending the event and giving the students a point of view they could easily relate to. Thanks!
