Document Delivery to Distance Students

Library Services for Distance Students

If the articles or books you need for your research are not available via the Mount Library's online collections, you may request the article through our document delivery service. We will do our best to fill all requests although please be aware that some items may not be available through this service.

Students within 1 hour of the MSVU Library (or other Novanet library):

Your Mount ID card will be accepted at most universities and community collegesin the province. Check for the full list of  Novanet Participating Libraries. You can use the Novanet Catalogue to locate books and have them delivered to the closest participating library.  Click on the 'Request a Loan' link next to the library's holdings to request an item. This is a free service and it will take approximately 3 - 5 business days from time of ordering to be delivered to the Novanet institution of your choice. You will be contacted by e-mail when the item arrives. Please note that this service applies only to books available in print format.

Students further than 1 hour of the MSVU Library (or other Novanet library), including international students:

Please request items using our Document Delivery form. Please add that you are a distance student in the notes section of the form so that it is clear that you are unable to come to the library to pick up materials.

This form is intergrated into most of our search tools (with the exception of the Novanet Catalogue). Look for the 'document delivery' links or buttons once you've ascertained that the item is not available in an online format.

Please note that your login for these accounts is your MSVU ID card barcode and pin (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number). Please contact msvu.ca if you expereince any problems logging into your account.

If you do not have a MSVU ID card please request one from msvu.ca.
Please contact library@msvu for assistance if your login does not work or if you require an article before you request your MSVU ID card.

Please contact us at msvu.ca if you have any questions or require any assistance with  ordering items.
