Materials selected for students in Philosophy are used by faculty and students in Political Studies, Sociology, Education, Religious Studies, History, English, Gerontology, Psychology, Business, Public Relations, and Women's Studies.
Responsibility:
Materials are selected by Philosophy Department faculty and librarians. The librarians also select specialized dictionaries and encyclopedias, bibliographies, and indexes.
Scope:
Current English language publications are selected. Some retrospective selection and searching of the out of print market may be required. Donations of titles are accepted, particularly if they are currently out of print or are unique additions to the Novanet database.
Exclusions:
Unpublished dissertations, manuscripts, popular works without academic interest, collections of journal article reprints.
