Budgeting

If you want to make sure that you can actually afford a year in school (or four), you have to know how what it costs and if you can afford it. Remember, your dreams don't work unless you do so take time to plan and be aware of what it will actually cost so that you're not in financial distress later on.

Get Started!

There is a lot of great information out there to help you plan for success so that you don't run out of funding before the end of the month or term.

  • Simplify your bills. Say "no" to unnecessary add-ons. Cable, cell phones and home phone bills are classic examples. Use your cell during free calling times only. Watch your texting and buy long distance calling cards to keep costs down. Also, wi-fi is your friend - turn off data options on your phone so that you don't use all of your data and incur large monthly overage charges!
