Margaret Norrie McCain Centre for Teaching, Learning and Research

McCain Centre October 2012 cropped

At the Mount our unwavering focus is on providing students with the best learning experience, in the best environment for learning. The Margaret Norrie McCain Centre for Teaching, Learning and Research will provide our students with a learning environment that is contemporary, technology-rich and interactive.

Classrooms, collaborative learning rooms and common areas will encourage group discussion, promote teamwork, and enable instructors to engage students in activities that provoke critical thinking, collaboration and creativity. New interactive classrooms and case work rooms will allow students to replicate real world scenarios.

An exciting feature of the new McCain Centre is that it will link the upper and lower campuses of the Mount. The RBC West Link connects the Centre with the E. Margaret Fulton Communication Centre.  A second link from the fourth floor of the McCain Centre will allow for direct access to the Rosaria Student Centre.

Designed for collaboration and the use of technology, it will be equipped with learning and instructional spaces to enable Mount faculty to adapt instructional methods to suit students and disciplines, and not be confined by the limitations of traditional classrooms.  The Margaret Norrie McCain Centre will feature:
