The Event

Black Tie Dinner & Bingo is a unique way to show your support for the students by raising money for the Scholarship/Bursary Fund. This fun-filled evening has become the signature event for Mount Saint Vincent University and boasts a guest list of more than 200 patrons and business people.

This black tie event (optional) is filled with good food, great prizes and mountains of merriment! It begins with a welcome reception, followed by a beautiful culinary feast prepared by the Mount’s chefs. Following dinner is an evening of exhilarating and entertaining bingo, led by local ‘celebrity’ bingo callers. Throughout the evening, guests are invited to bid on an assortment of items at our silent auction, consisting of over 30 tempting gift packages.

Student Success
The Mount has developed a new vision, mission, and strategic plan to guide it into a future of heightened relevance, competitiveness, and impact.  Part of  the University’s vision is to become the national leader in creating the best university experience for all members of the campus community. Enhancing our scholarship/bursary program is an essential component of our vision.

The Mount has tripled the amount of money that goes to scholarships and bursaries over the last several years, providing financial support for 860 students in 2007  alone and a guaranteed scholarship program for all students entering with a high school average of 80 per cent or above. However, there is much more to be done to ensure student success. Proceeds from Black Tie Dinner & Bingo will help enhance our scholarship/bursary program and help student now and in the future, benefit from all the Mount has to offer.
