Campaign Progress

The Mount’s Building Tomorrow Together campaign is focused on expanding our campus, enhancing academic excellence, and ensuring student success.  We have reached 68% of our target, as of August 1.

The remaining challenge of our capital campaign is raising funds for construction of the state-of-the-art Teaching, Learning and Research Centre to get underway.  The new centre will house academic departments, teaching and learning spaces and our centres including student professional studies and mission driven programs, the Co-operative Education Centre, the Nova Scotia Centre on Aging, the Centre for Women in Business, and the Institute for the Study of Women.

Bloom Non Profit Consulting Group has been engaged to work in partnership with our Campaign Cabinet and the Advancement team to ramp up our fundraising efforts as we enter the third and final phase of our capital campaign.

Bloom is a consulting firm based in Nova Scotia that delivers counsel to non-profit organizations to grow their fundraising revenue.  Bloom’s Principal, Anne (Coyle) Melanson is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) who will lead the capital campaign to completion.

Together with her colleague, Carolyn P. Marshall, Anne will provide hands-on consultation and day-to-day management and direction for this campaign.
Anne is a graduate from the Mount’s bachelor of public relations degree program (’87) and has established herself as an accomplished fund development professional.  She’s worked with many organizations, including universities, hospitals and major non profits where she has been part of many successful campaigns.
Carolyn P. Marshall, CFRE, has managed and advised fundraising programs in many sectors, including education.  She is known for her ability to identify major donor prospects.
Anne and Carolyn will work closely with the Advancement staff, the Campaign Cabinet and other members of the Mount community.
