At the heart of our vision is Building Tomorrow Together, a $16 million capital campaign.  This is only the third capital campaign in the university's 135 history, and its most ambitious by far!

Our exciting plans for the future revolve around three pillars :

Expanding Our Campus - $12 million

One of the key goals of this campaign is to underpin our commitment to academic excellence by offering students and faculty the best teaching, learning and research environment possible.  This includes the provision of state-of-the-art learning facilities designed to meet today's pedagogical needs, as well as contemporary, well-equipped laboratories and research space.  The construction of the five-storey Teaching, Learning and Research Centre will be instrumental in achieving this goal.

Enhancing Academic Excellence - $2 million

An Endowed Chair in Learning Disabilities - As the only endowed Chair in Learning Disabilities in Canada, this Chair will play a lead role in the identification and education of children and youth with learning disabilities.  This initiative allows the Mount to be a leader and a catalyst for positive change in the field of special education.

Library Acquisitions - Expanded library holdings will ensure students have the academic resources required to achieve success.  The Library must also acquire a greater number of electronic holdings so that students may access materials to their desktops in the most convenient method possible.

Flexible Education & Distance Learning - The Mount will invest in leading-edge tools for e-learning to maintain its position a s a leader in flexible education and distance learning.

Ensuring Student Success - $2 million

The Mount is committed to maintaining and growing its long-standing reputation for accessibility, particularly through significant enhancements to the scholarship and bursary program.  Over the past decade, the Mount has more than tripled the amount of money that goes to students through scholarships and bursaries.  In fact, more than 860 students will benefit from Mount scholarships and bursaries this year.
