Commitment to Your Health and Wellness

We understand taking care of one's physical and emotional health has a positive effect on productivity, decreases stress levels at work and play which in turn decreases potential health risks in the future. Please feel free to take advantage of the services available.

The Fitness Centre
Employees are welcome to enjoy a one-year facility membership to the Mount Fitness Centre for only $75. A facility membership includes unlimited use of the gymnasium and the weight room as well as half price fitness classes and instructional classes such as Karate, Yoga, Tae Kwon Do, Salsa and Swing-Latin dance. Fitness Centre members are also welcome to participate in intramurals, which are offered in basketball, badminton, indoor soccer and volleyball. Walking Trails

On campus there are many walking trails, where employees can have their lunch on a bench, enjoy a stroll through the trees, or enjoy a breath taking view of the Bedford Basin. 

Employee & Family Assistance Program

The Medavie Blue Cross inConfidence Program offers a wide range of confidential personal counseling services for faculty, staff, and their dependents. Members can receive help on a variety of issues: Personal well-being, relationship issues, family issues, substance abuse, workplace challenges, and many more. The inConfidence web-site offers e-counseling, along with a variety of online courses and resources related to wellness.
