Volunteer
The Mount Community Garden is always looking for volunteers. We are busy year 'round with workshops and events, construction projects, composting, research, grant writing, planning, and of course gardening. If you are a Mount student you can receive co-curricular recognition for getting involved.
Get a Plot
Currently we have a short waiting list for plots at the garden. Gardeners contribute volunteer hours towards the food bank and communal plots, and help out with garden maintenance. If you would like to put your name on the waiting list you can email the coordinator.
Research
The garden offers space and support for research projects related to community gardens. Please contact the coordinator with proposals.
Classes and Events
Take your class outside to the community garden. In the past classes have held lectures on local food in the garden, have used the garden as a source of inspiration for writing, and have toured and worked in the garden as part of their labs. The garden also provides a great space for outdoor events. Contact the coordinator to schedule your class or event today.
The Mount Community Garden is at the top of Seton Road, adjacent to The Meadows.
