Peace Conference

What does it mean to 'choose peace'? What would a 'culture of peace' look like? Join us for dialogue, reflection, critical inquiry and action planning!

Conference overview

Join other changemakers to explore how peace education, women's activism, and the disarmament movement have contributed and can contribute to building a more peaceful world for all of us. Building on inspiration from local and global leaders in these areas, the focus of the conference is to encourage dialogue around these themes and to develop some concrete action steps that we can all take to build a culture of peace in our communities.

Keynote speakers

We will hear from changemakers who are building a culture of peace in our classrooms...our communities...and our world...Alyn Ware, Sandra Ionno Butcher, and Dr. Erika Simpson.

Field trip to Pugwash - World famous for peace

This day-long field trip to Pugwash will give participants the opportunity to visit the home of the Pugwash Movement, learn more about its history, specifically the role of women in the Pugwash movement, and see the newly restored Thinkers' Lodge.
