Lorri Neilsen Glenn is Professor of Literacy Education here at Mount Saint Vincent University. She is the author and editor of eleven books of non-fiction, scholarly writing, and poetry. Lorri was Poet Laureate for Halifax for 2005-2009, recipient in 2005 of her University’s research excellence award, and of Halifax’s 2009 Women of Excellence Award for her work in the arts. Her work appears in national and international journals and anthologies, and she has led workshops in Australia, Ireland, Chile and across Canada. Currently, Lorri is completing a collection of essays on grief and loss, an anthology of writing about mothers, and a memoir.
